Dr. Joseph earned his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999. He then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree magna cum laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with Omicron Kappa Upsilon distinction in 2003. Dr. Joseph completed a general practice residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital and clinical fellowship at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine where he focused on medically compromised patient care and emergency room service. He returned to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine to complete a specialty residency in endodontics in 2006.
Dr. Joseph is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and teaches dental trauma and endodontics at the Brigham and Women’s/Harvard-Wide General Practice Residency Program.
Dr. Joseph is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He has been published in peer reviewed, scientific journals and authored a textbook chapter.
Dr. Kanika Sharma‘s background is exceptional. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in both Neuroscience and Psychology with honors. She received her DMD with honors from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. While there, she received many accolades including the prestigious AADR student research fellowship for her work on endodontic pathogens. She continued on to specialize in Endodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and is currently a Clinical Professor in the Department of Endodontics.
Dr. Sharma is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Association of Endodontics. Dr. Sharma is board-eligible and is working towards diplomate status with the American Board of Endodontics. She has already passed two of the three required steps of the exam.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sharma loves reading, yoga and exploring Boston with her family and friends.
